| Frank Kirschner began public musical performances at the age of 9, and was arranging music for instrumental and vocal groups by the age of 10. He joined the Barbershop Harmony Society in 1974 with the Chorus of the Onondaga in Syracuse, NY, and has performed with chapters in many locations, including International Competition with the Singing Buckeyes in 1985. While serving with US forces in Germany, Frank organized a barbershop quartet which introduced Germans to the art form. He served as Chairman of the Judges at Germany’s first national barbershop competition in 1992.
In addition to barbershop music, Frank has performed with the Alte Kameraden band in Fairfax, VA; the Virginia Grand Military Band; the National Concert Band of America; and the City of Fairfax band. He has performed in the Beethovensaal of the Stuttgart Liederhalle, the Filene Center at Wolf Trap, and the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.
