Richard (Rich) Taylor, II



Rich was a Society member for 47 years. A member of the: Sussex County, NJ Chapter. Previous chapters include: Delaware County PA, Cherry Hill NJ, Livingston NJ, Somerset Hills Plainfield NJ, Bangor Pen Argyl PA, Greater Brunswick NJ, Freehold NJ.

At the chapter level he held the following positions: President, VP, Chairman, Board of Directors, Section Leader, Assistant Chorus Director, and Chorus Director.

His District involvement included: C.O.T.S. faculty, Harmony College East faculty, Chairman (Youth In Harmony), Chapter Advocate, and Chorus/Quartet Coach. His International involvement included: Harmony College Faculty Honors and Recognition: 4-time Chapter Barbershopper of the Year, 36 Men of Note.

Quartet activity included: Unaccounted Four, Sound Association, Next Edition (District Top 5), Sounds Academic.

Other interesting facts about Rich include: Founder/Producer of the “Applause Radio Show” (12 years) and the “Harmony Network” (6 years), served as original host of the BHS International Convention Webcast (2000-2004). Rich is also the Executive Producer of the 1st Annual High Point Youth Harmony Explosion Festival in February of 2015.

He developed a Youth Quartet program with quartets now in 3 local high schools (both male and female) that are participating at the annual Harmony College Youth Program, which he personally coached and worked with the music educators.
