Robert W (Wayne) Adams, II

Heralding from Centreville, Virginia, Wayne started singing barbershop in high school in a quartet called The Classics in 1999. He competed in the Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Competition for two years with that quartet placing 6th in 2000 and 5th in 2001. His second quartet, Iguanas in Flight, also competed in that same competition placing 2nd in 2002. The iguanas later went to win the M-AD District competition in 2005. His most recent quartet, Da Capo, was a top 10 finalist during the 2012 International Convention in Toronto, ON.

Wayne's undergraduate studies were at Radford University in music performance. He continued at Florida State University pursuing Historical Musicology with a focus on historical performance practices. Currently, he is an Academic Advisor and Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the School of Art at George Mason University within the College of Visual and Performing Arts and is pursing a Master's degree in higher education administration.

Wayne is married to his wonderful wife, Jessica, who is very supportive of his passion for singing and barbershop. He is also blessed with a beautiful daughter, Isabel, and son, Oliver.
