Vaudeville

Vaudeville was formed in March of 1980, and spent the next nine years performing in nearly 250 barbershop contests and shows throughout the continental United States, Hawaii and Canada. Originally composed of Harold Nantz (tenor), Scott Werner (lead), John Hohl (bari), and Bill Cody (bass), the quartet won three successive contests within months of their formation, and went on to finish ninth at their first barbershop International in Detroit in July 1981. Vaudeville finished in the Top 12 Internationally a total of eight times, and medaled (Top 5) on five occasions. In Minneapolis in 1985, the quartet achieved its highest rank by becoming the Barbershop Society's Second Place Silver Medalist.

While Scotty, John and Bill remained members of Vaudeville for the entire period, the quartet had three tenors. Harold Nantz (part of the 1981 M-AD Champ foursome) was replaced by his brother-in-law John Casey in 1984 (becoming part of the silver medalist foursome), and John was replaced by Eddie Cazenas in 1987.
