Even Money

Even Money was a quartet waiting to happen when we thought to ask Bob Ramsey to sing tenor. After five rehearsals together including one coaching session with Rick Taylor, we entered the 2019 District Seniors competition and much to our surprise, we won!

The quartet members are tenor Bob Ramsey, who knows and is known by just about everybody in the Mid-Atlantic District. He sang tenor in the 2001 District quartet champs, Runaway Sound. Bob is a member of DELA, the Five Towns College Chapter and also directs the Lebanon Chapter.

Lead Kevin King is a three-time District quartet champion with the 1984 Pros 'N' Cons, 1991 Untouchables, and 1995 BSQ, an International 3rd-Place Medalist (twice), a former Society judge, member of DELA, and current director of The Chorus of the Chesapeake, to highlight just a few of Kevin's honors and accomplishments in Barbershopping. Kevin also had the honor of singing into the International Top Ten in 1986 with his father, Fred.

Bass Bob Fogle, Jr. has competed over the years in several quartets and is a member of the Dundalk and Harford County Chapters.

Baritone John Markel is an assistant director at the Dundalk Chapter and directs the Harford County Chapter's Bay Country Gentlemen. Since 1975, John has directed several choruses, sung in many quartets and also sang with the 2015 District Seniors Quartet Champion, Susquehanna Flats.
