Luck of the Draw began as a pick-up quartet in September 2018 for the White Rose Chorus annual show. Those four men, Tenor Paul Hricik, Lead Greg Utermahlen, Bari Bobby Crist (also WRC director), and Bass Scott Zumbrum liked what they heard, as did the audience. After making some changes, the quartet now consists of Greg Utermahlen at Tenor, Bobby Crist at Lead, David Kelly at Baritone, and Scott Zumbrum at Bass. The quartet boasts nearly 130 cumulative years of barbershop experience.
The quartet sings primarily Barbershop classics, and has performed for church groups, private clubs, and retirement homes throughout South Central Pennsylvania. We continue to perform the National Anthem for the York Revolution and Harrisburg Senators baseball teams. We also returned to competition in 2022. We recently finished in the top 20 at the International Senior Quartet competition in New York City.
